October 12, 2020 – This cold-weather footwear collection from Nike Running highlights two features that are wintertime favorites: a GORE-TEX upper on the Nike Pegasus Trail 2 and redesigned traction patterns in the Shield series, specifically the Nike Pegasus 37 and the Nike React Miler Shield.
Nike Pegasus Trail 2 GORE-TEX For runs that veer off the beaten path, the Nike Pegasus Trail 2 GORE-TEX is designed to help withstand weather conditions as rugged as the terrain. The GORE-TEX invisible fit upper helps protect feet from moisture. Additional traction was added at the heel and toe to steady runners when going up or down hills, joining the outsole’s detailed nubs for a secure, confident ride. Nike React foam helps provide cushioned responsiveness with every step.
Nike Pegasus 37 Shield and Nike React Miler Shield Two cold-weather Shield silhouettes from Nike Running feature a reimagined outsole pattern inspired by winter car tires.
Designed specifically for wet road surfaces, the traction patterns include micro-siping to better grip the road. The multidirectional shapes help channel water for improved contact with wet pavement. The weatherized shroud upper for both silhouettes helps repel water and keep feet dry. A bonus: the React Miler Shield is customizable on Nike By You. Check out the last two images above.

Nike is bringing fresh updates throughout 2020 to its three-member Trail series: the Nike Pegasus Trail 2, the Nike Wildhorse 6 and the Nike Air Zoom Terra Kiger 6.
Key to the changes on the Wildhorse and Kiger are updates that home in on serious performance — the kind that recognize the distinct variances within trail running that differ from your standard road run or track workout. For the Wildhorse, Nike React foam now delivers more comfort and stability underfoot, while the Kiger is built to keep out more mud, muck and moisture with a new upper.
Meanwhile, the Nike Pegasus Trail gets a full update from its initial offering in 2019. The Nike Pegasus Trail 2 features a new upper and tooling, with underfoot cushioning designed to handle those transitions from road surfaces to the trail and back again.
What’s New About the Nike Pegasus Trail 2
Wider bottom nets on the rugged outsole help provide stability on inconsistent terrain. A larger toe bumper helps protect the forefoot from rocks, roots and mud.
A durable FlyMesh upper hugs the foot comfortably, allowing skin to breathe and stay dry. The higher cuff above the heel collar helps keep out dirt and debris.
The pull tab on the heel allows you to attach your muddy shoes to a backpack or a bag via a carabiner.
The Pegasus Trail 2
The shoe now has a full Nike React midsole, helping to maximize comfort on uneven trail surfaces.

What’s New About the Wildhorse 6
A horseshoe-shaped pod of firmer foam is added in the heel for increased stability. A higher cuff keeps debris out, and the material remains soft and flexible.
The outsole lugs are now more durable and aggressive in design, which helps improve traction and reduce clogging in muddy conditions.
A modified lacing system, using a lateral fitband, helps with containment.

A GORE-TEX layer helps keep out water so your feet stay dry. The all-new gaiter at the collar is higher to help keep extra debris and water from getting inside your shoe. GORE-TEX's invisible fit along the upper provides protection from precipitation without sacrificing that comfortable feel of the Peg Trail. Its flexible, lightweight design keeps your foot dry when running between the wet roads and trails.
Less rubber along the outsole creates a smoother transition from road to trail. The rubber wraps around the front of the shoe for extra durability. The inspirational message by the heel will vary between "JUST DO IT" and "JUST RUN IT" depending on the shoe
