From the New Balance Blog:

The New Balance 1063 will be introduced in the first quarter of 2009 as well. The 1060 series is not as old as some of the other series, but it sure has made a possitive impression on running community. People who wear the New Balance 1060, 1061, and 1062 have loved them. They are a perfect shoe for a neutral runner, and provide New Balance’s premier cushioning system Abzorb DTS in the heel, and Abzorb SBS in the forefoot. The 1063 will be lightweight, extremely breathable, and should continue have the positive feed back from serious runners.

From Runners World:
Quote:
The wide fit and firm feel that characterized New Balance shoes are things of the past, as this update makes abundantly clear. As with the 769 (page 76), the 1063 is built around a new last that has less volume in the forefoot and is snug through the arch. Our testers loved how well the upper hugged their feet, and several liked the shoe's cushioning, even though lab tests show it to have one of the firmest heels in the neutral-cushioned category. Chalk it up to the new cushy sockliner. Recommended for normal- to high-arched runners looking for a durable trainer.
