It's rare to see a shoe in this category lose any weight, but the Tangent did--it's nearly an ounce lighter. It's also $5 lighter on the wallet. The weight drop is largely due to the new upper. The mesh weave on the inside of the shoe is tighter than on the outside, which provides support without the added weight of overlays. Our lab tests found the Tangent to be softer and just as flexible as its predecessor. Recommended for runners who do a lot of up-tempo training and racing.
