Men's SAUCONY® PROGRID® OMNI 7 :: Get the same great fit you've relied on in the men's Saucony® ProGrid® Omni running shoe, now with a new decoupled heel for better shock absorption, and lower midsole height for improved responsiveness. Choose the level of stability for your amount of pronation: Moderate for mild stability to keep your stride efficient and smooth (12.1 ounces), or Ultimate for maximum stability to support flat, flexible arches (12.4 ounces).
A midweight shoe with good support for the moderate overpronator, the Omni 7 Moderate has inherent support in the upper. Snug heel fit, slightly more relaxed in the midfoot and very open in the toebox and ProGrid cushioning in the heelt. This style accepts orthotics nicely. Slight overpronators may find this version (which we believe to be a bit more stable than its predecessor) a bit too controlling.
The biggest change to the Omni is under the heel, where the segmented outsole does a superb job of isolating impact forces. This made the Omni's firm midsole feel soft underfoot to our testers. Saucony is using lighter midsole foam and a more breathable upper mesh in this update, both of which contribute to dropping the shoe's weight by nearly an ounce. Recommended for runners who need stable shoes with a good heel-to-toe transition.
